The TeamThe Procurement team within AG is centrally positioned, to support all of the firms purchasing and strategic procurement needs, reaching across firm-wide spend, and therefore covering a wide range of goods and services. The role of the Legal Specialist is critical to ensuring that all Procurement activity has appropriate contractual terms, liaising with our wider internal legal network to ensure contractual arrangements are fully optimised. The role of Legal Specialist will report directly to the Head of Procurement and will have an opportunity to support and deliver changes to our current operating model, to ensure focus on value-adding services to the firm, and utilisation of legal support, particularly on AGs high value and high risk contracts.DutiesThe Procurement Legal Specialist acts as in-house legal counsel to Procurement and has responsibility for working with the firm to review, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial supplier agreements from initiation to execution. The role necessitates a close working relationship with AGs General Counsel and Risk team, Information Security, business stakeholders and senior management.
