Job DescriptionPrivate Cloud Technical Product Manager (VMware)Lloyds Banking GroupLeeds, Edinburgh, London, Halifax, Bristol, Manchester Were happy with home working the majority of the time, however youll need to be in office 2 days per week under your own cost.Salary & Benefits: The base salary banding for this role is £61,176 - £84,117 in London and £52,912 to £72,754 outside of London plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution, 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 daysholiday plus bank holidays.We also offer flexible working hours, agile working practices flexibility to suit your lifestyle and ensure a good work-life balance.Who are Lloyds Banking Group and where does this role sitAs part of Group CIO, Cloud Services is Enabling the Bank of the Future through the creation and management of Cloud-based platforms and service offerings, inclusive of the associated eco-system of service partners.Within Cloud Services, the Private Cloud Team is accountable for the end-to-end provision and performance of various private cloud platforms as well as the consumable products contained within. Through oversight and governance of supplier activity, the PrivateCloud Team drive all aspects of the platform and product lifecycle to deliver a safe and secure service alongside a great consumer experience.This is an exciting opportunity to join the Private Cloud Team to help shape and manage the VMware hosting platform which underpins our Private cloud offering.The Technical Product Manager will support the design and implementation of technical products, services, strategies and policies to ensure business requirements and user needs are being met. Youll take a leading role in project assurance and delivery,guiding teams in the assessment and redesign of systems and services and ensuring they are fit for purpose, align with our strategy and deliver an excellent consumer experience. Oversight and governance of our partners and suppliers will form a core part ofthis role.Specific activities which youll be responsible for include things like;

• GovernanceResponsibility for shaping and facilitating of infrastructure governance, including oversight of supplier obligations and adherence to bank processes and policies. Definition key organisational measurements used to track and prove the servicedelivers positive outcomes for both users and the business
• Delivery Assuranceunderstanding Contractual obligations in order to track, challenge and alter to improve measures as required, raising any risks and concerns promptly and taking ownership of restorative action where necessary
• Continuous ImprovementMature, Modernise, Transform and Promote our offerings as part of the DNA of the role, implementing Get to Green plans where offerings are sub-optimal
• Technical Oversight & AssuranceMaintain a holistic view over the platforms, facilitate technical discussions, assist with the resolution of complex issues and take a broad perspective to determine solutions and provide functional & technical guidance.Challenge designs and solution decisions to ensure these are fit for purpose and in line with the Private Cloud strategy.
• Risk ManagementResponsible for identification, oversight, reporting and escalation of technical platform risk in adherence to LGB group policies and standards

What do we need to see from applicants

• High understanding of VMware Esxi v6.7 / V7.0 in a large-scale environment
• Knowledge of NSX-T
• Knowledge of VRA / VRO
• Experience of working closely with Contracts and Suppliers
• Strong Influencing and Relationship Management Skills
• Infrastructure design & delivery
• Understanding of Cloud Concepts (Public / Private / Hybrid)
• Ability to quickly grasp technical documentation / High Level Design / Solutioning
• Risk Management knowledge, including familiarity with risk management frameworks
• Good understanding of hosting platforms, and Enterprise services (Networks, Security Tooling, UAM etc)
• Be a proactive problem solver and are not afraid of challenging the status quo
