Job DescriptionPrivate Cloud Oracle EngineerLloyds Banking GroupLeeds, Edinburgh, London, Halifax, Bristol, Manchester Were happy with home working the majority of the time, however youll need to be in office 2 days per week under your own cost.Salary & Benefits: The base salary banding for this role is £61,176 - £84,117 in London and £52,912 to £72,754 outside of London plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution, 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 daysholiday plus bank holidays.We also offer flexible working hours, agile working practices flexibility to suit your lifestyle and ensure a good work-life balance.Who are Lloyds Banking Group and where does this role sitAs part of Group CIO, Cloud Services is Enabling the Bank of the Future through the creation and management of Cloud-based platforms and service offerings, inclusive of the associated eco-system of service partners.Within Cloud Services, the Private Cloud Team is accountable for the end-to-end provision and performance of various private cloud platforms as well as the consumable products contained within.This is an exciting opportunity to join the Private Cloud Team to help shape and manage the Oracle platforms including Oracle Cloud @ Customer and emerging Oracle technology offering.As an Oracle Engineer in the private cloud team, you will support the design and implementation of technical products, services, strategies and policies to ensure business requirements and user needs are being met. Youll take a leading role in project assuranceand delivery, guiding teams in the assessment and redesign of systems and services and ensuring they are fit for purpose, align with our strategy and deliver an excellent consumer experience. Oversight and governance of our partners and suppliers will forma core part of this role.Specific activities which youll be responsible for include things like;

• GovernanceResponsibility for shaping and facilitating of infrastructure governance, including oversight of supplier obligations and adherence to bank processes and policies. Definition key organisational measurements used to track and prove the servicedelivers positive outcomes for both users and the business
• Delivery Assuranceunderstanding Contractual obligations in order to track, challenge and alter to improve measures as required, raising any risks and concerns promptly and taking ownership of restorative action where necessary
• Continuous ImprovementMature, Modernise, Transform and Promote our offerings as part of the DNA of the role, implementing Get to Green plans where offerings are sub-optimal
• Technical Oversight & AssuranceMaintain a holistic view over the platforms, facilitate technical discussions, assist with the resolution of complex issues and take a broad perspective to determine solutions and provide functional & technical guidance.Challenge designs and solution decisions to ensure these are fit for purpose and in line with the Private Cloud strategy.
• Risk ManagementResponsible for identification, oversight, reporting and escalation of technical platform risk in adherence to LGB group policies and standards

What do we need to see from applicants

• Strong understanding of Oracle on premise cloud solutions such as Oracle Cloud@Customer
• Knowledge of Oracle Exadata technology
• Understanding of wider Oracle ecosystem including Oracle Enterprise Manager
• Extensive Oracle Database experience
• Experience of working closely with Contracts and Suppliers
• Strong Influencing and Relationship Management Skills
• Infrastructure design & delivery
• Ability to quickly grasp technical documentation / High Level Design / Solutioning
• Risk Management knowledge, including familiarity with risk management frameworks
• Knowledge of Weblogic middleware (desirable)
• Knowledge of Oracle private cloud (desirable)
• Understanding of Cloud Concepts e.g. Public, Private, Hybrid(desirable)
