Job Description

Print Operator(HP Indigo Level 2)Location: LeedsSalary: £32,000 to £36,000! Immediate start available !This is a great opportunity to join a leading merchandising company and provide that level of attention to detail ensuring all products meet the rigours quality standards adhered to by the company. Over the last few years the company has grown and grown, andis now in a position to reinvest in its staff/equipment to secure further opportunities for the business. Needless to say, this a brilliant time to join the businessThe role:Reporting directly to the Department Manager, you will work on all aspects of digital print with a focus on the HP Indigo.The job will consist of ensuring orders are printed at an efficient pace and to a high standard, regularly updating the department manager on the status of print and ensuring we are meeting daily targets. Further to the above:

  • You must have an eye for detail and high standards when it comes to quality
  • An understanding of the digital print process to ensure orders are printed in the most timely and efficient way
  • Determine and understand all order instructions and running of the Indigo presses productively while, meeting job requirements of ink density, colour matching, size/construction, and upholding the required Quality Standard
  • Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and print related issues; demonstrate the ability to make adjustments to the equipment including replenishing of consumables, replacing of filters, bottles and waste containers
  • Maintain knowledge of the press, current printing processes, and contribute to the effective running of the department
  • Consistently work in a safe manner and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures where applicable
  • Download and Upload all Press files from various media as required
  • Read and understand work orders to guarantee correct product is produced to quality standards and specifications
  • Identify and select correct substrates to be used for the specific jobs
  • Communicate with the Department Manager regarding any discrepancies
  • Monitor print quality at all times while machine is in production
  • Make decisions regarding quality, colour control and colour standards
  • Complete quality checks to ensure product meets all physical and visual requirements
  • Carry out troubleshooting of equipment, making minor adjustments, completing basic repairs, as well as carrying out daily / weekly preventive maintenance
