Job Description

Position: Principal Strategic Sourcing Officer (IT)Salary: £39,570 to £42,614 per annumWorking Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)Duration: PermanentLocation: Leeds, with hybrid working (1 day per fortnight in office)The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring that the Integrated Digital Service derives best value from the sourcing, commissioning and management of IT contracts by procuring the most appropriate contracts that deliver value throughout their duration.Requirements:

  • Experience in taking the lead in the procurement process, from clarifying a specification to placing contracts, including identifying opportunities for business improvement.
  • Knowledge and experience of public sector procurement processes, public sector contract regulations and using Government procurement frameworks.
  • Experience of managing the policies and processes for the strategic sourcing of internal and external ICT services.
  • Extensive knowledge of the commercial IT environment, which includes how organisations source, deploy and manage external partners and when it is appropriate to use in-house resources.
