Job Description

Pricing Analyst (Market Pricing)Leeds£30,000 to £40,000 + BenefitsOur client, a respected composite insurer, is currently looking for a Pricing Analyst (Market Pricing).The main purpose of the role is to assist the Pricing Manager in achieving their strategic objectives, providing risk pricing recommendations and insight, based on leading modelling and analytical work.Due to the current situation, the position is completely home based.Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop best practice pricing models and price optimisation techniques.
  • Analyse, evaluate and assess new rating factors and develop pricing structures incorporating these.
  • Guide the business in determining pricing action required to achieve the business’ objectives.
  • Maintain an in-depth level of knowledge in relation to pricing and analysis tools used in the team i.e. Radar, Emblem, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Viya, SQL, etc.
  • Automate, streamline and document pricing processes, to make them as efficient as possible.
  • Make progress towards the completion of professional qualifications e.g. Actuarial exams.
  • Requirements
  • Graduate with a Degree (2:1 or above) in a numerate subject i.e. Mathematics, Physics, etc.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Confident when handling and analysing data.
  • Radar (specifically optimisation) experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience of analysing data using Actuarial or analytical techniques, and experience of working within an Agile delivery environment, are preferred.
