Job Description

Pre-school Nursery Practitioner - IMMEDIATE START!Location: Halton, LS15Hours: 9:00AM-3:45PM (term-time only)Salary: NegotiableAre you passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment for young learners If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a team of passionate and caring individuals as a nursery practitioner. We areseeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to help us provide high-quality early education and care to children during term-time.As a Nursery Practitioner in a pre-school room, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for children aged 2-5 during term-time. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and implementing activities and lessons that promote child development, including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.
  • Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care, including following all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Observing childrens progress and behaviour and communicating this information to parents and caregivers.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to create a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Providing nurturing and responsive care to children, building positive relationships with them and their families.
  • Creating a stimulating and organized learning environment, including setting up and maintaining age-appropriate resources and materials.
  • Participating in staff meetings, professional development, and training opportunities to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
  • A minimum of Level 3 in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with young children in a preschool or nursery setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early education.
  • A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom.
  • Patience, creativity, and adaptability.
