As part of the NHS SBS transformation journey, we are forming an Enterprise PMO to support the organisations strategy.Reporting to the ePMO Manager this role will be a key part of the new team providing support and governance to our Portfolio Projects and organisational insight.Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of the Portfolio, Programme and Project Management standards, mentorship and templates that support the organisations PPM Framework, ensuring that these standards are used consistently across the NHS SBS project environment
  • Support Product and Project Managers on overall activities such as project planning and tracking, running RAIDD logs, facilitating meetings and workshops, and preparing project reports.
  • Through engagement with projects and the delivery of Project Assurance Health Checks and Stage Gate Reviews, to provide early warning that a project is at risk of not delivering to scope, time or cost.
  • Delivery of the PMO Service Catalogue
  • Curation of the NHS SBS Project Management Knowledge Library
  • Where required provide management services support to project delivery directly
  • Support and contribute to the development and delivery of accurate portfolio reporting including the compilation of Portfolio governance reports to a range of partners on a weekly and monthly basis
Required SkillsYou need to have:
  • Recent and relevant PMO experience with a track record of delivering to required standards.
  • Proven delivery experience, ideally within a portfolio environment
  • Experience of working with hybrid project delivery teams, including offshore, dedicated staff, seconded staff, client staff and contractors.
  • Sound understanding of the IT & Business Change processes
It would be great if you had:
  • Project Management Certification (APM, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent)
  • Experience of supporting projects utilising Agile techniques (SCRUM, DSDM)
  • Working understanding of technology and business change projects and programmes
