Domestic Gas Engineer -Plumbing and Heating EngineerWe have a great opportunity for an experienced Domestic Gas Engineer as our business continues to grow.What we are looking forWe are looking for a positive, motivated candidate with ambition to progress in their career to join our small friendly team. Ideally someone with 5 years experience as Gas Safe engineercarrying out maintenance and repair work but must also have installationand general plumbing experience too. We are looking for somebody who can work alone as well as part of a small team; and has the experience to make decisions, using their own experience and initiative to safely deliver quality for our customers. You shouldbe curious and have a problem-solving mindset which helps you diagnose and repair boiler faults on a first time visit.The successful candidate must be able to pass a DBS Check and be eligible to work in the UK.About usWe are a small business located in Rothwell we have been here for 20+ years and are very well established in the local community and throughout Leeds.We offer both Gas and plumbing works, our portfolio includes council contracts for boiler installations, Private customer boiler installs, boiler services, Bathroom replacements, radiator replacements/ relocations, We are HETAS registered so also installwood burning stoves, along with most other general Gas and Plumbing jobs.We have a fantastic, loyal customer base which continues to grow.Hours of workMondayFriday 8am till 5pm occasional Saturdays during busy periods. The position is fulltime/permanentPlease note There will be a 2/3 day paid trial before any permanent position is offered. Please only apply if you are happy to attend the trial.Qualifications Required- Plumbing 4 Years (Required)- Qualifications- NVQ Level 3 Plumbing & Heating (Required)- Full UK Driving Licence (Required)- Gas Safe Qualified (Required)- Punctual and professional (Required)- Experience of working on domestic properties (Required)- Ability to co-ordinate / supervise projects on site including other engineers (Preferred)- CSCS (Preferred)- CCN1 (inc cpa1), CENWAT, CKR 1 are essential. Other Domestic gas qualifications an advantageEmployment benefits- Holiday allowance 22 days + Bank Holidays- Van and Fuel Card included.- Uniform provided- NEST pension scheme- Upto date training provided.Key Responsibilities:Requirements for the role of Plumbing and Heating Engineer:- Boiler maintenance and repairs including heating installations will be your primary role. You will also be expected to carry out small plumbing tasks, Leaks, repairs etc. (Bathroom fiting experance would be ideal but notessential)- Must be a fully qualified gas safe engineer with ideally 5 years experience in the industry must have experience in fault finding.- Must be happy to work on general plumbing work and bathroom fitting as well as boiler changes and breakdowns.- Must be able to work as a small team but also independently, using your own experience and skills to solve problems- We require a hardworking, reliable Heating Engineer/Plumber to work in domestic properties and provide our customers with the best experience while we are in working in their homes.- You will need to be skilled, experienced, honest and diligent and work to the highest standards.- Communicate effectively with our office staff to maintain an accurate record of all work carried out.- Attend scheduled appointments as instructed- You must have the relevant in date gas qualification.This is a directly employed role and we are not taking on sub contractors at this time.
