Job Description

Platform Manager - Perm - LeedsI am working with a leading financial organisation currently seeking an experienced Platform Manager to join their team on a permanent basis in Leeds.The Role

  • Effective engagement with important stakeholders to ensure platform strategy and technical roadmaps continually aligns with changing business needs.
  • Delivery of complex technical platform change. This will include large scale critical programmes and regulatory changes, through traditional and agile delivery models. Adherence to technical policies, standards and controls and the deployment of resources.
  • Management of risk for all operational risks associated with the platform, including identifying, assessing, communicating and mitigating risks in a timely manner and in accordance with the Societys IT risk framework.
  • Supplier management of third parties that support, run or work on the platform including commission of new work, managing delivery and performance in line with contractual agreements.
  • Provide effective service management of the platform including service design, transition, operations and continual improvements.
We are looking for a credible leader with the following skills:
  • Well versed in cutting edge technology and can use this expertise to guide senior key stakeholders and make credible recommendations
  • Experience of leading operations for large and complex core banking or financial systems
  • Delivered migrations and significant changes for large and complex core banking or financial systems
  • Good experience of DevOps
  • Previously played a strategic role in the management of systems
  • Ability to manage office based and remote teams with a servant leader mindset
  • Has experience of delivering critical IT platform change at pace whilst effectively managing IT risks
  • Ability to positively influence internal and external senior stakeholders and can formulate written reports at Board level
