Job Description

Plate Mounter / Pre-PressLocation: LeedsSalary: DOECompany: A leading packaging and labels manufacturer.Role: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a plate mounter to join a leading organisation in Leeds.You will be responsible for mounting and producing plates to agreed timescales and to the highest standards of quality to meet production requirements.

  • Mount plates accordingly.
  • Support production to maximise machine efficiency.
  • Producing work on time to the highest standard.
  • Ensure plates are free of blemishes and are correct to the job.
  • Ensure that all materials are to customer specifications for each particular job and/or press.
  • Clean and store all printing plates.
  • Producing plates as required to meet production schedules.
  • Maintain quality and health and safety.
  • Maintain databases and backups.
  • Record non-conformances and any plate related issues.
Requirements:
  • Experience of Flexo Platemaking / mounting.
  • Experience of Esko CDI software - not essential.
  • Flexo and corrugated experience - preferred.
  • Experience of working with pre-press workflows.
  • Good knowledge of the print process is essential.
  • Must have a keen eye for detail and understand that quality is paramount
  • Must be able to work as part of a team but equally as well on their own
