Our client, a global leader within the insurance market, is looking to appoint a Placement Broker to its growing team in Leeds City Centre.In the current uncertain climate, it is refreshing to see a corporate firm provide their staff with assurances on permanent flexible working, after seeing the benefit it can have for some of its employees during the pandemic. Therefore, you are in prime position to benefit in your development given the investment being made in this area.As Placement Broker, you will look to build strong relationships with the insurer panel to enable you to access the best possible terms/rates for your clients at both new business and renewal. Our client expects regular insurer meetings and entertainment to enhance these partnerships. The risk profile is varied, cross-class commercial across a range of industry sectors mainly within the £50k-£250k premium bracket. Where there are some preferred markets to place business, you will have the freedom to work with the panel of insurer. Given your knowledge, experience and skill, it will be expected that you can help increase the technical competency of the Account Handling Team in the art of Placement Broking.Our client is looking for a traditional Broker’ that is au fait with the Leeds market and holds insurer relationships at present. It is essential that you have built a generous amount of experience in a similar role or be a Commercial Account Handler that has significant exposure in this area. You will be a shrewd negotiator, someone that is a clear communicator, confident yet approachable and focused on achieving the best possible deals for your clients.In return, you’ll receive a generous salary along with a market leading benefits package you’d expect for working at a leader in its field.
