• In order to be considered for this opportunity you must hold a minimum of a Bachelors degree in a Scientific or Chemistry based subject (could also be Biomedical Science), and during your degree you will have used, calibrated and maintained pipettes
• It would be beneficial (but not essential) if you have some laboratory based experience after your degree, and again you will have Pipetting experience (calibration, maintenance etc)
• Must have a full driving licence (company car or allowance will be provided with this role), as well as fuel card / credit card for business miles

The responsibilities:

• Promotes the company and performs repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance of best in class, quality pipettes at customer sites and maintains necessary documentation of this work.
• Visits customer sites including university, government, and industry laboratories in the North UK and Scotland to perform calibration, maintenance and repair on customers pipettes.
• Working alongside the Sales Representatives to promote service & provide technical support.
• Works with area representatives to cultivate new and repeat service accounts.
• Contacts existing service customers regarding ongoing needs if required.
• Responds promptly and professionally to all customer inquiries.
• Maintains familiarity with competitor service companies, their practices and offers.
• Determines customers service needs, coordinates accordingly.
• Uses computer software to record serial number, assign work order number to each job, and to record calibration findings.
• Performs calibration according to manufacturer/ ISO8655 or customers own specifications (full training will be provided).
• Disassembles, cleans, inspects, repairs, and reassembles pipettes, and diagnosing problems, if any, and determining necessary repairs.

Salary and Benefits:

• Base Salary: £23,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience level)
