We’re taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one dayless a week (or equivalent).If the trial is a success, we’ll be rolling the 4DWW out across the Group – so there’s never been a more exciting time to join #teamOFG!Job Title:Part Time Outdoor Education and Activities InstructorLocation:Armley Grange, Leeds, West YorkshireSalary: up to £30,000 per annum (pro rata)Hours: 2 days per week, Monday to FridayContract:Permanent, term time onlyAre you an Instructor committed to improving the lives of children and young peopleThe right individual will help create a programme in which our children and young people can experience new challenges, gain on and build experiences and flourish outside of the typical classroom environment.We would like the Outdoor Education and Activities Instructor to provide opportunities such as Duke of Edinburgh, John Muir Award and Forest Schools as well as offering swimming and other exciting outdoor opportunities. Qualifications for the above as wellas other outdoor activity qualifications are desirable (a discussion about changing days may take place for every school year).Planning and delivering the outdoor and activity curriculum in accordance with the individual needs of our young people is key and the successful candidate will need to take the time to get to know each one. This will promote personal development, well-beingand above all, offer a range of outdoor experiences. You will set specific targets/intentions for our children and young people, work alongside other teachers to ensure curriculum coverage, work with and brief all relevant staff on the outdoor visits and createstimulating learning opportunities.About usArmley Grange is a new specialist school for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs. A specialist school equipped with the latest technology, sensory provision and specialist teaching spaces withthe needs of the puplis in mind.Armley Grange is a day school that caters for students from 5 years to 19 years old.
