Job Description

NJR Recruitment are delighted to once again we are working with one of Leeds’ fastest growing and award-winning IFA practices who are now looking to expand their Technical Support team with a Research ManagerWorking as part of the Compliance and paraplanning departments, supporting colleagues where required and reporting to the Compliance Manager, this role is a hybrid between the two teams, incorporating aspects of technical analysis and complianceMain responsibilities will include:

  • Producing and Understanding Replacement Calculations
  • Conducting due diligence annually or on an ad hoc basis, as and when required on providers and funds and maintaining up to date company records
  • Monitor new regulation/and FCA requirements on Investments/Platforms & Products and raise awareness to the Senior Managers of any impending action required.
  • Monitor Investment Markets & Trends to produce necessary client communication
  • Ensure reviews are carried out and any amendments are undertaken of the authorisation suitability letters for rebalancing of the portfolio
  • Analysing and writing due diligence and fund performance analysis reports
    • What we need from you
  • Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning or Level 4 Equivalent as a minimum
  • Preferred previous experience in a similar role from a compliance perspective within an IFA firm
  • Experience of research software tools such as FE Analytics, Voyant, Cash flow modelling tools and Centra research tools would be a benefit
  • In-depth experience and knowledge of WRAP Platforms, Investments and Product markets
