Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a Overseas Registration Officer to work on behalf of my client, a leading force based in Leeds (LS11).The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm but with some flexibility involved.The hourly rate is £10.42per hour (PAYE).Please apply today for the chance on an immediate interview.Duties include:

  • Lead by example and behave in line with the Police Code of Ethics ensuring that the force values and behavioural expectations are clearly understood and considered by managers, officers and staff in their decision making and actions; reinforcing and influencingthem through all interactions and processes.
  • Register, monitor and maintain control of the Foreign National ensuring they adhere to the Immigration Regulations under the Immigration Act 1971. It also includes documenting and endorsing Passports with details of the registration and examination, updating,weeding and destruction of files in accordance with current official policies
  • Balance weekly accounts of monies received for registration purposes
  • To administer the transfer to this Force and from other Forces of foreign nationals records so that accurate information is maintained at all times
  • Liaise with outside agencies and members of the public in order to trace over-stayers and deportees.
  • Cautioning, a system of verbal cautioning exists for registered foreign nationals who are in breach of the regulations, in order to prevent prosecutions
  • To follow up matters and persons of interest for Force Special Branch to provide information and documentation etc 8. Advise members of the public in complex immigration matters, at the public counter, the Immigration and Nationality Department being theonly contact or advice point in Leeds to deal with all aspects of immigration matters.
  • To provide administrative support to Protective Services- Crime in respect of relevant matters.
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Basic knowledge and ability to operate computer systems such as Microsoft Office
  • Basic knowledge and interest in world affairs
  • Minimum of 2 years admin/office experience
  • Literacy and basic numeracy skills
  • Previous experience in dealing with members of the public and handling large sums of money
