You will identify training and developmental needs and drive suitable training initiatives that buildloyalty and commitment into the company.Ensuring everyone is fully trained and can do their job effectively, and help employees learn new skills and develop existing ones.You will use your skills as a train the trainer to create and enhance in-house instructors in operational training requirements related to the safety in the companyThe main purpose of the job is to:

  • Oversee training programmes that include web-based seminars, printed manuals, group sessions, training videos, and more
  • Determine the Operational training needs and requirements for our organisation by meeting with managers, talking with employees, or administering surveys
  • Monitor training programmes and manuals to ensure that they are effective and up-to-date and makes updates as necessary
  • Review existing training materials required for safety produced by either internal or external providers to determine appropriateness and relevance
  • Modify or create course materials and training manuals to meet specific training needs and to maintain compliance to current Health and Safety legislation.
  • Present in-person and online training sessions or hire qualified personnel to do so
  • Uses the Sphera-Cloud system to schedule training sessions, organizes information technology and other equipment, and manages course enrolment, training record etc,.
  • Work with managers to address learning issues, instruction problems, or new educational needs regarding specific employees or departments
  • Manage costs for all programmes, productions, and publications in order to report to organisation executives regarding a return on investment
  • Maintain understanding of new educational and training techniques and methods
Relevant experience & qualifications:
  • Proven work experience as an operational training manager
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication, Interpersonal Communication and leadership skills
  • Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
  • Good computer and database skills including MS PowerPoint, Word & Excel
  • Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Planning Skills
  • Method of Instruction
  • NPORS Registered Instructor category T001 (or equivalent training body)
  • NEBOSH General (credit)
