  • Lead, direct, motivate and supervise the performance of all members of the team
  • Deputising for the Area Manager where appropriate.
  • Maintain timely plans for all required testing activities, highlighting and managing any potential or real resource issues
  • Monitor milestone achievement and reporting any variances to the relevant project manager
  • Responsibility for ensuring accurate job recording and analysing discrepancies
  • Provide root cause analysis and failure diagnosis where required
  • Take responsibility for all matters relating to Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental issues, systems & procedures to ensure compliance & conformance with corporate directives & local legislation
  • Visibly lead EHS & Quality improvement through observation, intervention & workplace tours
  • Ordering and maintenance of requirement departmental equipment and establishment of optimum maintenance schedules
  • Compilation of relevant risk assessments to ensure that safe methods of working and the hydraulic and mechanical integrity of machinery is maintained
  • Actively participating in order review/assembly review meetings, providing guidance and advice to projects where required
  • Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • BTEC Mechanical Engineering
  • Relevant experience within related industry including knowledge of industry practices & standards, pump/rotating equipment experience being desirable.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements including completion of risk assessments
  • Staff management

  • Capacity to work autonomously
  • A methodical approach to work to deadlines whilst maintain attention to detail and ability to adapt to change when required
