• You will deputise for the Operations Manager as required and in their absence be responsible for the entire site
• You will be responsible for managing Shift Managers, across the warehouse every day/night and ensure escalation processes are in place
• You will safeguard the warehouse operation and our people by ensuring a safe working environment is maintained
• You will act as a champion for safety and ensure regular inspections take place to assess equipment and infrastructure on site - escalating any concerns to the Operations Manager and/or Health & Safety Manager
• Support with the onboarding and training of existing and new employees - ensuring they are supported and appraised throughout their career at Beer Hawk
• Coach Shift Managers and provide real-time feedback to enhance skills and team capability
• Proactively communicate with key stakeholders and senior managers within the business.
• Work as a key team member, communicating with both your own team and the wider operations team to ensure great results
• Identify and address opportunities or risks within the warehouse to help support the business with its continued growth plans
• Take pride in your teams excellence and work with your team to reduce errors and maximise efficiencies
• Work in line with agreed budgets and ensure any additional spending is justified
• Understand and measure your teams productivity and work with the wider teams to ensure KPIs are met including VLC
• You will be making decisions regarding both safety and operational decisions, therefore experience managing within a warehousing environment is essential to this role

Profile

• A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background (ideally as a Nights Warehouse Operations Manager)
• Able to implement and follow best practices and guidelines to ensure fairness and consistency
• You are able to plan and organise both work and people
• Able to motivate a team, showing great leadership qualities to get the best from your team
• Comfortable with using IT e.g. Laptops, Word, Excel, Slack
• You are able to understand, manipulate and interpret data and information to ensure you make the appropriate decisions
• Experience of delivering constructive feedback and addressing potentially challenging situations
• You have excellent communication skills
• Able to identify and solve problems as they occur
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, able to work flexibility and able to work under pressure to meet peak requirements
• Demonstrate role model behaviours at all times and act with great integrity whilst living the core business values
• Able to escalate concerns in a timely, proactive manner
• Able to work as a self-starter, proactively manage time and identify key priorities
• You are self-motivated and have the determination to continuously improve and succeed
• Live within a commutable distance of Leeds.

Job Offer

• Basic Salary of £35,000 - £40,000
• 10% Bonus Scheme
