Job Description

Network & Security Engineer (Remote and Leeds based) - An excellent opportunity to work for a global professional services organisation. This position is a hands-on 3rd line operational and project role.Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills of a complex network, system, and/or security problems.
  • Network management LANs and WANs
  • Comprehensive experience of Cisco switching
  • Solid understanding of routing protocols including BGPEIGRPOSPF
  • Any cloud OR Azure experience an advantage
  • Experience with a leading Firewall technology Palo alto OR Cisco ASA firewalls.
  • Zscaler skills an advantage
  • Experience of MPLS network and VPN networks
  • WSA web proxy
  • Working with MSP/ 3rd party venders
  • On-call extra bonuses as an option
    • Desired Skills and experience
  • CCNP or CCNA
  • Experience working with Cloud Solution Providers (Azure, O365, Amazon Web Services, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
  • Ability to liaise with 3rd parties for troubleshooting and fault resolution
    • Main responsibilities:
  • Effective and efficient running of the BAU network globally.
  • Support and ownership of WAN and LAN technologies
  • A key player in ensuring the network meets required security standards and controls.
  • Collaborating with different teams based in different locations.
