Multi-skilled Maintenance TechnicianPerm, £26k pa, Days, 25 days Holiday, Cycle to Work Scheme, Discount SchemesI am looking for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to work in the Facilities Maintenance Team of my client, a busy Manufacturing company based near Yeadon, Leeds.Reporting into the Facilities Manager, you will be assisting in Maintaining the facility and supporting the effective smooth running of the Manufacturing Processes. This role will suit someone proactive and flexible who has Electrical, Mechanical and HVACexperience and skills.Day to day duties will include:-Carry out maintenance to ventilation, heating, mechanical and electrical systems-Carry out repairs to property, fixtures, fittings and equipment-Work within planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules-Respond to production breakdowns in a timely manner-Utilise BMS and Lighting control systems for energy management-Control contractors, issue work permits and observe their work activities-Proactive involvement in new installations and alterations to plant-Ensure all work is carried out within health, safety and environmental requirements-Attend training and courses to attain relevant qualifications if/when requiredKey skills/qualifications and experience required for the role include:-City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ Electrical qualifications would be desirable-HVAC experience in Plumbing, Ventilation and Heating Systems is advantageous-Mechanical experience with good knowledge of machinery-IPAF 3a & 3b or willing to obtain qualification-Experience in using BMS and lighting control systems would be beneficial-Good knowledge of legislation related to H&S, Environment and Building Regulations-Ability to prioritise tasks and have effective time management-Good work ethic with the ability to work unsupervised-Good communication skills-Willingness to learn machine operations and assist with repairs when required-Flexibility is essential with work hours, to rectify breakdowns as priorities-Eager to learn and advance own skill set and knowledgeYou will be required to work from 7am to 3.30pm from Mon to Thurs with a 2.30pm finish on a Fri. You will be part of an on call rota for call outs and technical support.
