Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Engineer in West Yorkshire to join one of the biggest names in the food industry, supporting foodservice and manufacturers across the UK. The site produces soft and liquid applications and sophisticated cheesepowders. It has recently completed a multi-million-pound investment round and the future is bright with further investment planned to upgrade the factory machinery in the next 6 to 12-months.As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting to the Engineering Manager.
  • Working with four other engineers, ensuringtasks are completed in a timely manner, both reactive and preventative
  • Ensuring that all standards of housekeeping are maintained in line with Good Engineering Practice, the Company Quality System and Health and Safety procedures.
We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer who has the following skills and experiences:
  • Extensive engineering experience from a food manufacturing environment.
  • An understanding of, and the ability to read electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge of Pneumatic Systems.
  • PLC experience, Mitsubishi & SCADA systems, fault finding.
  • Experience working with Conveyors, Filling Machines, Printers, Labelling Machines, Weighing Equipment.
  • Experience in site systems e.g. control of contractors, H&S requirements.
You will be working on weekly rotating shift, 05:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market-leading manufacturer that has planned further investment in their strategically important site.
