Job Title: Mortgage Implementation and Oversight ManagerLocation: LeedsVacancy Type: Permanent, open to interim tooSalary: up to £150,000 pro rataWorking Hours: Monday to Friday - 9am-5.30pmBenefits: TBCAbout the role of Mortgage Implementation and Oversight ManagerThis role is one of the first hires in a new mortgage lending business, specialising in shared ownership. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to use their experience to build a "best in class" proposition, supporting customers in a high growthsegment - and ultimately helping them get on the property ladder. This is a chance to join the team at an early stage, and to get involved in a lot of exciting design and implementation activity.Your first-year objectives will be to set out the operational vision, working closely with the executives to create and implement a framework of policies and processes that support the origination and post completion administration of capital market andFCA compliant mortgages. You will ensure that systems and people are ready to originate and service mortgages that company with credit risk and other risk management tools and to ensure intermediaries will always get a great customer experience while ensuringfair customer outcomes. You will also recruit, train, and manage all pre and post completions operations staff, supporting the delivery of all commercial contracts required to originate and service mortgage loans.Responsibilities for the role of Mortgage Implementation and Oversight Manager

• Operation of pre and post completion systems and procedures to ensure efficiency, good customer experience and compliance with legal and operational standards.
• Direct and control all internal operational employees ensuring they are motivated and trained to the required standards
• Co-ordination of outsourced operations activities in support of corporate objectives and to ensure that FCA material outsourcing standards are met.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement and customer excellence driving changes in operations to achieve short and long-term objectives.
• Lead the gathering of operational process requirements and work with the Product team to design and build a market leading experience to intermediaries and their customers which unequivocally supports the delivery of fair customer outcomes and value toshareholders and support the origination and administration of capital market and FCA compliant mortgages
• Lead the writing and documentation of policies and processes that fall within the remit of the Director of Mortgage operations that support a capital market and FCA compliant business.
• Lead the analysis and documentation, and the process to the extent it is not done, of selecting key third party service providers to include corporate mortgage lawyers and post completion servicers
• Supporting (or leading) the engagement, contracting, and set up with all other suppliers to the business operations including but not limited to panel valuers and solicitors
• Lead the development and implementation of the lending policy and associated mandate and oversight controls to meet the credit risk appetite and policies of the business.
• Recruit, induct, train, and prepare the mortgage operations teams ready for launch to the agreed timetable and for achievement of lending targets
• Set out operational visions and contribute to the RBP with detailed mortgage operations planning and organisation design ensuring that the business will put customer outcomes at the centre of all operations.
• Leveraging market intelligence, customer insight (focus groups) and product and distribution plans, be able to demonstrate through the operational plans that the business has in place.
• Working with the product and distribution teams, support all aspects of pre and post completion operational build with a strong focus on intermediary and customer outcomes.
• Support the executive in building confidence in the business with the regulator, funders, and the Board.

Experience required for the role of Mortgage Implementation and Oversight Manager

• Hands on Senior Operational leadership experience within a secured mortgage lending business covering originations and servicing is essential.
• Ability to start immediately or within a short period of time
• Exposure to setting up infrastructure, processes and procedures within mortgage servicing and originations
• Experience of working with product owners
• Experience of working with third party mortgage servicers and oversight
