Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a MIG Welder to work at our Westok division at Stourton, Leeds LS10Ideal applicants will have worked within a heavy structural fab shop environment and will be welding qualified to EN287-1 or BS EN ISO 9606-1 welding 6mm to 47mmshifts available:-Days - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 6:00am to 6:30pmDays - Monday to Thursday 7am to 5pmSplit - Monday and Tuesday 6:00am to 6:30pm then Thursday 6:00pm to 6:30amKey responsibilities will include:

  • Producing Westok Cellular Beam and the Ultra Shallow Floor Beam(USFB).
  • Work Safely and provide work that meets our Quality standards (in line with ISO-9001).
  • Use of MIG welding plant to produce fillet, and butt welds.
  • Maintain condition of tools and equipment.
  • Report damage or malfunction of equipment promptly.
  • Experience in using air-arc to gouge / prepare weld areas.
  • Visually inspect work
  • Maintain a tidy workplace in line with company 5S procedures.
  • Flexible enough to work additional hours, dictated by business workload as we endeavour to meet customer demand.
  • Motivated to develop self in other critical process.
  • Demonstrate an innovative approach to cost saving initiatives, as we maintain a competitive edge.
  • Measure and cut beams to length using oxy-acetylene torch, to meet drawing specification
