Most of our subsidiary companies did too (APD Communications, i2N, EMIS Care and Charter Systems) but our service design agency still trades asSnook.Weve been part of global tech companyNEC Corporationsince January 2018.Job DescriptionThe Microsoft 365 Evangelist role will be pivotal in the implementation and adoption of Microsoft 365 within NEC Software Solutions. The successful candidate will be delivering Microsoft 365 consultancy currently and have a broad knowledge of the whole Microsoft365 suite. They will have been directly involved in the roll-out of Office 365 or Microsoft 365 to one or more medium sized organisations.Communication and collaboration are paramount to this role, the Microsoft 365 Evangelist will be working closely with internal stakeholders on a continuous basis, understanding their needs and identifying solutions that take advantage of Microsoft 365, eitheras new opportunities or redesign of existing solutions.The successful candidate will join the central architecture team that comprises enterprise, security, technical and solution architecture disciplines.Responsibilities will include:

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for Microsoft 365 supporting migration from existing productivity technologies to Microsoft 365.
  • Initiate innovation and business change through Microsoft 365 adoption, working with internal business areas identifying existing technology usage and initiating workstreams to capture requirements, design solutions, and implement Microsoft 365 capabilitiesboth departmentally and corporately during and beyond the migration period.
  • Monitor the Microsoft 365 capability, initiate internal awareness campaigns to drive adoption of new features and applications leading to improved business outcomes.
  • Where necessary, engage with external suppliers in the delivery and adoption of Microsoft 365 capabilities.
  • Participate in the corporate technology roadmap process to ensure controlled technology lifecycle management for all adopted Microsoft 365 capabilities.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert on support and operational ownership across all implemented Microsoft 365 capabilities.
  • Collaborating with the support teams to enable independence through the sharing of product knowledge and best practices.
QualificationsEssential
  • Deep knowledge of the Microsoft 365 product suite with proven experience of successful implementation and adoption within a medium enterprise environment.
  • Extensive experience with Cloud-hosted software solutionsparticularly client-facing digital applications for web and mobile.
  • Comfortable with collaboration, open communication and reaching across a range of functions and teams.
  • Strong ability to communicate and present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to produce high quality documentation to support the NEC user base to adopt new technologies.
  • High degree of personal motivation and ability to self-manage.
  • Self learning capacity to ensure awareness of emerging technologies and potential security threats.
Desirable
  • Experience migrating from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with compliance & security standards across the enterprise IT landscape such as ISO 27001 and NCSC Cyber Essentials.
  • Familiarity with ITIL service management principles & tools, and their use in an enterprise environment.

OTHER INFORMATIONOur Service DeliveryCentres are based in Mumbai and Hartlepool with a Head Office in Hemel, the successful candidate will be required to work from home, and attend our offices within the UK when required.Candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.
