An electronics business that specialises in consumer devices (handheld & wearable) require an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join its R&D team for an initial 6-month contract.You will have opportunity to work on several product developments. Some task work will be brand new product designs, other task work will be redesigning and improving existing products.For this role you should be a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who is confident using Solidworks.You should be comfortable taking ownership of the mechanical design of a product and will enjoy working closely with Electronics Engineers.For the products you will be designing it would be beneficial if you have plastic injection moulding experience and have designed products that enclose electronics (ideally RF).If you are a Mechanical Designer who thrives off varied work and design challenges, this will be a contract that you will thoroughly enjoy.SKILLS REQUIRED:
