Job Description

Manufacturing Production Manager£44,000 – 48,000Leeds Rotating shifts 05:45-14:00/13:45-22:00 Monday to FridayI’m recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing company who are seeking an experienced professionals. This individual with be responsible for managing a manufacturing team, plant and materials in a culture of performance. Review and action areas of improvement, promote open communication, employee involvement and continuous improvement in support of achieving the Business Goals and Objectives.Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Contribute towards maintaining high health and safety standards and to carry out all duties and specific responsibilities in compliance with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • To take full responsibility for the quality of product produced within the manufacturing area through management of & compliance with quality systems
  • To take full responsibility for achievement of the production plan and ensure delivery deadlines are met – OTIF KP
  • To maximize performance via measurement, monitoring & analysis of plant information including wastage, output, utilization, labour efficiency, quality, energy and environmental impact and occupational health & safety generating and implementing improvement plans.
  • To facilitate the development of an open culture of pro-activity where people take pride & responsibility in what they do & feel a sense of involvement & self-worth.
  • To continuously inform and involve all relevant personnel in the exchange of information necessary to ensure alignment to objectives and Sika Strategy
  • Be responsible for all people management activities, including absence management, check ins, discipline (short of dismissal) and grievances. To determine and ensure the achievement of the skills & training requirements of the team, to fulfil current and future business needs.
  • To lead, coach & motivate a multi-skilled team to achieve individual & departmental development.
  • Promote continuous improvement and as part of the team proactively seek new & improved methods of working to increase efficiency in the overall production process.
  • Work collaboratively with other Manufacturing Mangers in undertaking these responsibilities. Ensure team working with Engineering and Project & Process Teams on new product / process introduction and process improvemen

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • 5-10 years manufacturing plant experience – fast paced environment with regular change over and short lead times
  • Committed and determined to deliver excellence
  • Driven manager always looking for improvements and driving change through new ideas
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to adapt under pressure and show resilience when dealing with multiple tasks and deadlines
