Job Description

Management Accountant - £45,000 - £55,000 - Fast Track progression to FD role The Management Accountant role will support the CFO in all financial aspects for both entities .It is a key role to the businesses, maintaining close control on the day-to-day financial operation whilst also driving and developing improvements to provide accurate, detailed and timely financial analysis to key stakeholders.Core responsibilities

  • Preparation and production of monthly management accounts across both companies containing numerous cost centres, including managing accruals, prepayments, journal entries, within month end deadlines, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Provide commercial analysis and reporting, based on standard costing methods across differing customer, product and brand bases.
  • Preparation of weekly cash reporting and cash-flow forecasting.
  • Support in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasting.
  • Lead the completion and submission of quarterly VAT reporting.
  • Lead the detailed stages of the annual financial audit for Statutory Accounts production.
  • Support in monthly payroll preparation and submissions.
  • Become a super-user of the NetSuite ERP system, maintaining controls within the system and developing reporting for the rest of the businesses.
  • Support the CFO in all other financial and non-financial matters as and when required.
  • Work with other members of the Exec Team and other departments on projects to improve the efficiency and operation of the businesses.
Person specification:
  • Fully, newly qualified or passed finalist (CIMA / ACCA).
  • Minimum of 12 months experience producing monthly management accounts.
  • Experienced in budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Excellent IT and strong Excel skills - competent with data manipulation on large data sets; pivot tables; sumifs; vlookups; xlookups; index matching.
  • Interest in systems processes and basic ERP administration would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
