About the Role BJSS is looking for a Management Accountant to join the Leeds-based finance team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to cover a period of maternity leave.This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone who is looking to work in a fast-paced technology consultancy environment. You will be part of an established Finance and Systems Team with extensive internal stakeholder engagement.Key responsibilitiesProvide support to the Finance Business Partner to ensure that business reporting is completed accurately and within the agreed deadline.This will include:

  • Leading data input and manipulation to produce monthly Board and Management Accounts presentation pack
  • Liaise and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders through periodic P&L and ad hoc reviews
  • Variance analysis between actuals and Budget/Forecasts including to analyse, challenge and interpret the month end results
  • Provide detailed analysis and insight into variances in sales, margin, direct costs and overheads.
  • Lead analysis of all areas of the P&L to identify opportunities and propose actions to improve profitability
  • Manage the bi-weekly reforecast process including regular dialogue with Heads of Delivery and updates to the bi-weekly forecast report.
  • Update commercial files with monthly actuals to allow for analysis of key client profitability and other key business metrics
  • Develop value added reporting and review processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and timeliness of information and delivery of additional insight
  • Assist in preparation of Budgets, including preparation of presentations
  • Integral in developing and implementing ongoing improvements in financial data as well as processes and systems to support analysis and decision making across the global business
About You This is an excellent opportunity for a bright minded individual to join an evolving Finance function. You will be an experienced Finance Analyst with strong organisational skills who can articulate, with advanced verbal and written communication skills,and has the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.You should have a track record of demonstrable interest in the commercial elements of the business and wider industry themes and issues, and an ability to review processes with clarity and create efficiencies in the current processes. You will be flexiblein your approach, have strong attention to detail as well as an engaging and personable attitude.It is imperative that you are deadline focused and willing to put in the effort required to ensure deadlines are always met. You will be naturally motivated and focused and incredibly organised.Qualifications and SkillsAt least 3 years working in an FP&A or Business Reporting functionMicrosoft Office - Advanced Excel skills to enable manipulation of multiple data sources to deliver detailed analyticsComfortable using numerous accounting packages with a good understanding of systems, especially not fully integrated systemsExperience of working in fast paced, dynamic environments Some of the Perks
