Job Description

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)Permanent opportunity3 shift patternCompetitive salary + benefitsImmediate startWe are recruiting for a multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our clients team based in Yeadon on a permanent basis. This is for a company who specialise in the design and manufacture of components for a variety of industries inan industrial environment.Performance Objectives

  • To support the manufacturing process by responding effectively to equipment breakdowns, carrying out scheduled maintenance work and being proactive on the correction and modification of reoccurring machine processing faults.
  • To respond effectively to equipment breakdowns and ensure maximum focus is given to their nominated production area
  • To fault find in an effective and efficient manner whilst utilising the various machines historic / information documentation
  • To establish harmonious relations with the operational staff and to work flexibly with them
  • To train operational team members to perform minor maintenance tasks and to assist in major repairs
  • Ensuring that machinery is maintained, and repaired to a high standard.
  • Pro-active in the reduction of engineering downtime and continuous improvement of the process and the department.
Person Specification
  • The successful candidate will ideally be electrical apprenticeship qualified or educated to HNC level or equivalent and will have worked within a Heavy Industrial or Chemical environment.
  • A background in Heavy Industrial / Machining will be a distinct advantage however not a prerequisite.
  • You must be an excellent communicator and be able to plan and organise efficiently.
  • 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs (fault finding or part programming)
  • The role requires the successful candidate to work at Height/Confined spaces
  • Able to read electrical drawings
This will be a40 hour week.The hours of work are:Week 1:MorningsMon to Thurs :5.45am to 14.15pm 8.5 hoursFriday: 6am12 noon 6 hoursWeek 2: AfternoonsMon to Thurs: 13.30pm to 22.00pm 8.5 hoursFriday: 12 noon to 18:00 6 hoursWeek 3: NightMon to Thurs: Nights20.00pm to 06.00am 10 hoursFriday: offBonus scheme for all employees paid on a quarterly basisit is a % of salary and can vary but is normally between 5-10%.Pension scheme is matched up to 7.5% and holidays will accrue up to 30 days plus 8 statutory days and Good Friday
