For the right person, this role provides an exciting opportunity to work with a team of committed professionals and to contribute to our proven success. Our team members are based in all of our UK offices and focus on tasks that are found in a wide variety of legal assignments but which do not necessarily need to be done by qualified lawyers, such as document review, due diligence and e-disclosure, as well as process elements of transactional, advisory, commercial real estate and litigation work.We are supported by the use of technology and play a key role in enabling Addleshaw Goddard to respond to client demand for more innovative and better value services. Launched in 2010, we are now one of our biggest divisions with over 180 employees, made up of apprentices, paralegals, managers and solicitors. We were the first team of its kind in the UK, and continue to innovate by delivering work in the most efficient way, saving our clients time and money. In addition, youll have access to our internal training contract application process, CILEx sponsorship and management or technical development programmes.The RoleAs a Litigation Paralegal you would be assigned to the Litigation sub-team of the TST which may involve spending some time within the AG Litigation Division working under the supervision of our market leading specialists on some of the largest and most complex cases within the UK court system.You can expect to be involved in all stages of litigation throughout the life of a case, in particular some of the work that you are likely to be involved in will include:

  • Taking initial instructions from clients and attending client meetings to obtain more details about a case
  • Assessing the relevance and merits of documentation as part large scale disclosure exercises
  • Managing electronic case rooms and disclosure platforms across a range of different technology platforms
  • Drafting court document, forms and issuing/lodging items at court
  • Creating bundles and preparing for witness briefings, mediation and trial
  • Liaising with clients, witnesses, experts and the court as part of hearing timetables
  • Managing smaller cases, under the supervision of our litigation specialists
  • Preparing instructions and subsequent correspondence to Counsel and experts
  • Conducting research and providing findings in a clear and concise manner
  • Drafting settlement agreements, charging order applications and witness statements
  • Checking legal documents for quality, consistency and content and ensuring documents are compliant with the relevant Protocols
  • Working with our Innovation and Legal Technology team to identify technology that can further increase efficiency to the litigation process
    • What we are looking forWe are committed to the technical and vocation development of our TST paralegal team and full training will be provided within the role. We are ideally looking for candidates with some previous litigation experience however applications from candidates without specific litigation experience will be considered where they are able to demonstrate skills relevant to the role.Due to the dynamic nature of the work we do and the clients we seek to serve, the role is not an ordinary "9-5" job. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, who takes real pride in their work and who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment. You will have:
