Job Description

This is a chance to do challenging work with a wide variety of stakeholders across the FCA, to drive improved leadership and management capability across the organisation through innovative projects and solutions.To perform successfully in this role you will have experience of diagnosing organisational issues and developing impactful interventions in response, as well as expert knowledge of leadership and management development processes and systems. You will also beable to present these solutions to key business stakeholders and engage them in delivery. Finally, we ask that you can measure and evaluate the impact of project-based interventions and report this back to the team and wider business.What you will be doingManage the delivery of our People Managers development pathway (including our People Manager induction, and leadership transition programmes); responsible for the scheduling of cohorts, liaising with Academy support; management of external supplier relationships,tracking programme progress, and helping to resolve issues related to the running of programmesDay-to-day oversight of our 360-feedback tool for people managers (provided under contract by a 3rd party supplier) and report participant engagement, and development themes as required to senior stakeholdersManaging relationships with the FCAs panel of (external) executive coaches to support the development of our senior leadersOversee pool of coaches, collect insights from leaders (who benefit from coaching) and from the coaching panel and share insights with stakeholders and colleagues, while working practically with more senior colleagues to resolve any issues which ariseEnsure coaching engagements are conducted in line with our guidance and providing logistical support if needed to coach/coachee to ensure seamless serviceManage ongoing evaluation of leadership impact and capability by developing insights from a range of existing sources (employee survey, 360-degree feedback and other internal and external sources of insight)Support the development of strategic leadership approach for the FCA - to include detailed diagnostic work, engaging with internal and external networks to establish best practice, and design of programme of activity address identified requirementsManaging logistics - including governance meetings, budgeting and payments, and contract retenders as required etcWhat you will get from the role A rare opportunity to understand and shape the workings of the financial sector at a time of considerable changeYou will enjoy a unique aerial view of the financial services industry, with the opportunity to do meaningful work that makes a real differenceOpportunity to shape and deliver the leadership and management agenda across the whole organisation and to work with and influence a wide range of industry professionals, both internally and externally to the FCATo help achieve this, the FCA has introduced a simple capability framework made up of our FCA Values (Deliver in the public interest, Be ambitious, Act with integrity, Work inclusively, Connect and deliver), our Core Skills (Judgement, Engagement, Deliveryand Self-management), and technical know-howAs an Academy business, we place great value on learning and developing capability by offering world-class development opportunities which will assist you in achieving your career aspirations Our competitive flexible benefits scheme gives you the opportunity to create a personalised benefits package, tailored to suit your lifecycle.
