This iconic, established retailer is hiring a new role for a Ladieswear Senior Buyer in Leeds.As a Senior Buyer you will have a positive can do attitude and be capable of working to tight deadlines. We are looking for someone who is customer-focused and a logical thinker. You will have excellent communications skills that will transfer to team development.You will manage a small team to develop ranges that delivers the core values of the business. Ensuring current and future sales, margin and stock targets are met within budget. The position of Senior Buyer is simply designed to completely own a category strategy that delivers on the P&L.Based in Leeds, our client offers home and office working and through this pandemic has seen significant growth through offering exceptional service and a leading product offering across the ladieswear categories. We are looking for a commercially astute and trend led Senior Buyer to take the reigns as the business moves towards its next stage of growth.Key responsibilities will include:* Identify a category strategy that prioritises both the product and the commercials* Implement a complete cradle to grave category management process that includes merchandising and trading of the category* Build strong supplier relationships, taking ownership of commercial management* Lead and mentor a high performing team to deliver against the P&LAbout you:To be considered for this role, you will have sourcing experience across Ladieswear although Menswear categories will be considered, with the added advantage of truly understanding the merchandising aspects of a category.
