Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join a global Electronics distributor based in Leeds.Client DetailsThis role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work in a fast growing business and industry sector. You will be working on projects which directly influence the business growth and strategy. You will be working on a Hybrid basis in the brandnew refurbished offices in Leeds with a free gym and subsidised canteen!Description

  • Using project management processes, governance and tools, deliver small-medium sized projects.
  • Agree and drive project governance, facilitating meetings to deliver the project plan, monitoring actions, risks and issues
  • Agree communication plan and ensure timely and structured status updates and communications to key stakeholders and the wider GPMO
  • Develop, track and report on project timelines
  • Support stakeholders to develop business cases and ensure benefit realisation
  • Ensure budget approval, procurement and cost tracking of allocated projects
  • Coordinates activities and works collaboratively with all stakeholders across departments.
  • Track system changes with back office functions, drive decisions on test strategy, development of test scenarios and scripts, co-ordinate and facilitate test progression and defect management.
  • Facilitates meetings to discuss issues and implementation strategies and solicit alternative points of view. Drives problem-solving; and decision-making.
  • Formulates conclusions, recommendations and develops options. Effectively presents and justifies findings and recommendations to management and customers, as appropriate, to gain approval.
  • Manage 3rd party relationships and serve as a liaison between suppliers, project team members and leadership. Hold freight carriers and suppliers to account on their actions, timelines, cost and quality.
  • Adherence to GPMO processes, tools and reporting. Ensure timely updates on status, progress and risks to the logistics portfolio analyst and wider GPMO.
  • Facilitate project closure / lessons learned workshops and ensure the best practice is shared with the wider GPMO
Profile
  • Experience in successful project delivery
  • System, operational or logistics experience preferred
  • Experience in driving projects through use of project tools and techniques
  • Proficient at influencing stakeholders at all levels, experience in communicating and presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Experience in using MS project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint to a high level
  • Experience in managing or delivering system testing desirable
  • Excellent written skills and experience in developing business cases
  • Analytical and technical skills desirable
