BAE Systems Digital Intelligence is home to 4,800 digital, cyber and intelligence experts. We work collaboratively across 16 countries to collect, connect and understand complex data, so that governments, nation states, armed forces and commercial businessescan unlock digital advantage in the most demanding environments.Job ProfileOwing to our continued growth, we haveopportunities for JavaScript software engineers at a variety of experience levels.These engineers need to have experience usingJavaScript orTypeScript inframeworks and libraries such as React, Angular and NodeJS.Our developers are responsible for delivering cutting-edge, optimised, high qualitysolutions that look and perform superbly across all platforms. This position will involve using the latest frameworks and libraries to deliver exceptional development servicesto our clients. You will work in Agile teams and have a voice in the direction of the software engineering and design. You will work on projects that have a genuine impact on the security and prosperity of the UK.We want you to be more than a developer. All ourteam members arechallenged to use their expertise, experience, insight and desire to collaboratein order toclearly communicate technical information, functionality, and limitations to non-technical audiences,whilst influencing the overall implementationSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript Developmentusing a variety of tools, frameworks, libraries
  • Good understanding of source control and continuous delivery/integration pipelines
  • familiarity with unit testing and mocking libraries
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Software development and optimisation
  • Conducting reviews of supplied requirements and specifications.
  • Providing accurate estimates of development effort required.
  • Reviewing design and code outputs from colleagues
  • Shared accountability for engineering best practice within the team.
  • Communicating with other team members, internal staff, and external clients.
  • Building relationships with stakeholders.
