Job AdvertAre you an experienced ITSolutionsArchitectwitha passion for designing and delivering technologysolutionsWould you like to work on one of the largest Retail transformations, defining Asdas future technology landscapein arapidly evolving architecture practiceAsda are looking for Solution Architects across our business and technology domains; Applications, Data, eCommerce, Infrastructure, Integration to lead the definition of ournew technologylandscape.If you have architectural experience across any of these areas, then pleasedo nothesitate to apply.Your RoleThis role would ideally suit a passionate and experienced Architect to join a mature practice,workingwitha growing team of 50+ in asupportiveenvironment,withgreatopportunitiesforself-developmentand training. Experience in Retail, or at leastoperatinginanenterprise-scaleenvironmentisdesirable.Future is the name for the programme that will see Asda create their newoperatingmodel,independentfrom Walmart.We areundertakinganunparalleledexercise to build a newIToperatingenvironment; this is a one in a lifetimeopportunitytoparticipateinshaping the way the entire business willoperatein the future throughtechnologydecisions, and the design ofsolutionsin currenttechnologies.About You

  • You willcollaboratewellwithother technicalroles andbefamiliarwithworkingat enterprise scale defining innovative and fit for purpose solutions.
  • You willhave experience in solution design, inapplication,technology, data orintegrationarchitecturedomains, and a real passion for current trends including mobile and cloudtechnologies.
  • Awareness ofarchitectureframeworks such asTOGAF butisdesirableand not essential.We use ArchiMate, so it would help tounderstandthis notation, but training will be provided.
  • You willhave a passion for delivering innovative and fit-for-purpose technology solutions, meeting our business needs.
  • Ability to approach design with timeliness, cost and quality factors in mind. Risk identification and mitigation, quantification and qualification non-functional and functional requirements.
  • Excellent written skills and the ability to clearly distil complex architectures into consumable documents and views.
