A leading UK Energy / Power Generation business with operations throughout the UK and Ireland have a new position for a Procurement Professional to lead on IT Goods and Services. The IT Procurement Manager will manage the on-going contract database while partnering with the IT Directorate and key figures to determine the requirements, establishing specifications that deliver financial and contractual service mitigation.A side for the contract data base contract, as youll provide a business partnering approach to the department youll also support CAPEX investment strategy for IT hardware / Software, Digital and HR related platforms.The IT Procurement Manager (Hybrid) 2 days in the Leeds office.Responsibilities would include:* You will be supporting and reporting into the Head of procurement to support the business and bring new opportunities managing the full end-to-end procurement cycle for IT and Professional services* Implementing and deliver category strategy for the IT spend and Professional services* Commercially aware and understanding the delivery of Procurement projects* Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand business requirements* Being able to negotiate new contracts, to bring new opportunities to the business* As a IT Procurement Officer (Hybrid) you will be responsible for the production, approval and delivery of the Category Strategy for the designated portfolio of spend* Working across all levels of the organisation the you be able to work independently or as part of a project team, developing & delivering complex sourcing projects* Strategic supplier relationship management and market intelligence form a core part of the role, ensuring that both individual Sourcing Strategies and Category Strategies manage risk, are aligned to market trends and the future direction of the businessEssential:* Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation in the procurement process, coupled with an in-depth understanding and experience of delivering tenders* Commercial acumen - Commercially focussed with a proven track record of delivering value and process efficiency* Negotiation - Proven ability to negotiate effectively and resolve disputes efficiently throughout the contract lifecycle* Analytical & Strategic thinking - Ability to analyse complex data sets and develop Supply Chain Strategies that mitigate risk and deliver value over the long term* Influencing - Ability to engage and influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders up to Director level* Communication - Ability to utilise a variety of communication styles and tools in order to deliver a desired outcome* CIPS Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply or relevant bachelors Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain* Advanced understanding and application of the use of the Microsoft Office suiteDesirable:* People influence and stakeholder management experience* Experience of delivering procurement projects* Contract experience* Comprehensive understanding of relevant systems* IT, Digital, Telecoms, Software Procurement ExperienceSalary:* £65,000 - £70,000* Up to 15% Bonus* 25 days leave + bank hols* Private medical insurance for self* 6% employer contribution and 3% employeeHybrid working (with free parking when at the office)Leeds, West YorkshireIT Procurement ManagerIf you want to discuss this position in more detail, please call Carl Walker at Elevation Recruitment Group.Elevation Recruitment Groups Procurement and Supply Chain division work with a vast range of businesses across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire and East Midlands regions.
