Job Description

IT Operations - First Line Support - LeedsSearchDATA Group is currently looking to recruit an experienced First Line Support professional for a growing financial services organisation in central Leeds.The First Line Support Analyst is responsible for handling first level support of service requests. This relates to all technology, to include: Workstations, printers, and vendor specific hardware and software.What we can offer

  • Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsofts core business applications and operating systems.
  • Monitor the remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications and respond accordingly through service tickets.
  • System documentation maintenance and review .
  • Communication with customers as required; keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.
  • Liasing with IT Operations Second Line Engineers to resolve issues.
  • Liaising with other IT departments within the business to ensure issues are raised.
  • Experience and Qualities:
  • Proven working experience in analytical roles with at least 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Proven working experience in mapping business processes and workflows
  • Ideally experience within financial services or legal industries
  • Qualifications and Experience:
  • A good understanding of operating systems, business applications and network systems.
  • Interpersonal skills; such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
  • Diagnosis skills of technical issues.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Technical awareness; ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately.
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English, Grade C or above.
  • Knowledge of Windows XP through to Windows 10.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012 r2 though to Microsoft Server 2019.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 and 2019.
  • Knowledge of a Citrix Xenapp environment would be beneficial
  • Some Microsoft SQL Server knowledge would be beneficial
