IT Manager / Senior Back End Developer (NEW ROLE)£50,000 - £55,000HuddersfieldThe CompanyInteraction IT have partnered with one of Yorkshires fast growing, telecommunication businesses, covering a variety of corporate and commercial customers across the UK.My client has immediate requirements for an experienced IT Developer with at least 2+ years commercial experience in a similar discipline, or at least 5+ years in backend PHP development.The roleYou will be primarily responsible for the redesign and development of my clients in-house web-based systems and infrastructures (long-term project).This is new role as a result of continued business growth and you will play a key part in defining and scoping the companys IT strategy, in which to bring about full automation and to rebuild the backend database systems within the business.Additional skills Strong commercial experience using PHP, MySQL, SQL Server, Laravel 5 (and above) and JavaScript frameworks Ability to be self-motivating with strong time management, workflow management and project management experience Confident with working to deadlines ensuring attention to detail, problem solving and ability to define systems architectures (CRM / Web APIs)Key responsibilities At least 2+ years commercial experience in a similar discipline, or a Senior PHP Developer (looking to step up in career) with at least 5+ years experience in backend and server development Experienced in backend SQL / MySQL development, in which to create a new platform build from older legacy systems Bring about strategic vision by suggesting improvements to the current CRM system (MySQL) and to take full ownership by implementing, managing and maintaining changes, as required Also look at integration management with key database-linked systems, these include Websites, APIs and any third-party platforms Hands On PHP development and infrastructure knowledge, to deal with and resolve any troubleshooting issues around the internal servers & systems Also bring about a consultative approach to the business and integral part to defining the long-term IT strategy To review and improve database and security integration within the business Create new technical documentation in accordance with company processes and standardsIf you are looking for an exciting greenfield project and challenging opportunity to work for a leading telco business, then please submit your CV to or contact me on for an informal discussion around the role.
