  • Internal Sales Executive position selling a range of timber and building materials such as hardwoods, softwoods, MDF, cladding, decking, fencing, sleepers, insulation, hardware and tools
  • Selling to contractors, housebuilders, developers, timber merchants, builders merchants, joinery manufacturers and trade
  • Dealing with inbound sales enquiries via telephone and email
  • Processing orders and making cold calls with a strong focus on generating new business
  • Pro-actively selling, following up leads and enquiries promptly
  • Producing quotes to customers and following up to convert sale
  • Upselling and cross selling where possible
  • Providing excellent customer service to clients and building relationships
  • Updating internal database with client details where required
  • Supporting with general requirements from the branch and sales team
The ideal applicant will be an Internal Sales Executive - Timber & Building Materials with:
  • Must have sales experience within the timber or building materials market sector
  • Would consider other aligned construction related sectors such as door or furniture
  • Experience of handling accounts dealing with senior sales figures is highly beneficial
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must be a good team player
  • Computer Literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Initiative and autonomous approach
  • Pro-active approach to generating new business
  • Driven, enthusiastic, hungry and lots of self-motivation
