Job Description

Internal Communications Executive, 80% Remote Working, Up to £35,000 + Benefits, Leeds Area, Lovely Technology CompanyOverview of the Internal Communications Executive:The Internal Communications Executive is a brand new position created within this highly respected technology led organisation. Therefore this position is a great opportunity to create, shape, source and produce relevant and engaging material for the organisation.The Internal Communications Executive will include researching, planning, writing, and sharing high-quality content across multiple channels, using a broad range of media subject matter. Content will include business updates, latest company news, video interviews,written case studies, and photography.Internal Communications Executive Duties:

  • Develop and implement effective communications activities for internal audiences.
  • Working in conjunction with the HR Director to support the organisation to design and implement a cohesive internal communications strategy.
  • Directly manage the planning and development of creative, audience-focused content that meets the company strategic needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the Organisation to ensure that messaging is aligned and optimised across both digital and traditional channels.
  • Working independently and as part of the HR team to develop ideas and create communication materials to support business objectives. Ensuring materials are shared and re purposed for maximum effect across multiple communication channels.
  • Establish strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders to gather news and content for communications - making recommendations regarding the most appropriate responses/actions.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity, sound judgement and integrity - ensuring confidentiality where necessary.
  • Make use of the social media channels/internal intranet to increase engagement and visibility.
  • Ensure that work undertaken reflects, supports and promotes equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Manage the production of all internal communications, working in conjunction with key stakeholders in the business, or in alignment with the communication strategy.
  • Seek out news-worthy content within the business and act as a partner to the business units to assist them to articulate a clear vision/direction/strategy within their business area.
Experience Needed / Whats in your DNA
  • Ideally you will have a degree or relevant qualification in a related area i.e. Communications, Marketing etc
  • Creative approach with strong written ability
  • Proven experience of preparing written content to fit audiences and style.
  • Able to interpret complex and /or technical information to create accessible and interesting written content.
  • Strong news sense, with proven experience of spotting a good story and adapting to suit specific audiences and platforms.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple deadlines and requirements
  • Confident working with colleagues at all levels, providing communications advice and managing expectations as required.
  • Experience of developing broadcast content including blogs, vlogs, webinars, and videos
