Job Description

We are looking for an Internal Communications Campaign Manager to join our team!This is a homebased position and as a result you can work from any location within the UKAs the Internal Communications Campaign Manager, you will work with key Divisional Stakeholders to develop, design and execute IC campaigns across the Division; supporting the Internal Communications Manager to deliver key IC campaigns that reinforce First Bus strategy.Youll need to be a competent all-rounder with extensive experience in devising creative and impactful IC campaigns to time and on budget. This includes everything from understanding the brief, to managing stakeholders and agencies, right through to writing copy and fronting internal events. By enabling our internal audiences to understand and engage with campaigns and projects, you will be crucial in embedding our 2020 strategy and continuously improving the way we operate.As First Bus IC Campaign Manager, you will devise and execute comms plans on time, to a high standard, via the most appropriate and impactful channels. This means youll need to develop a sound understanding of our audience and channels to allow you to make informed decisions about approach and execution.Due to the broad nature of this role, you certainly wont be bored! It will provide the opportunity to be creative and think outside the box, will a real sense of job-satisfaction when you see your campaigns come to life.You will need to be competent in all aspects of Internal Communications including:

  • Event and delegate management
  • Channel development incl. social media platforms
  • PowerPoint
  • Technically competent in:
  • Using Sharepoint
  • Design packages to deliver to brand guidelines e.g. Photoshop
  • Email software e.g. Poppulo
  • Main Duties You will:
  • Contribute to the development of and support the delivery of the First Bus Internal Communications Strategy and First Bus Divisional Strategy
  • Work with key stakeholders to understand their project deliverables and requirements to advise and create comprehensive IC plans
  • Forge excellent relationships and adapt your approach appropriately as you partner various stakeholders, project teams and business areas as demand dictates
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the division and the wider Group; including Media Relations, Marketing and Digital Teams - as we increasingly develop integrated campaigns
  • Support leaders and managers to be effective communicators, including supporting with presentation style, tone of voice and key messages
  • Develop and implement a range of tactical communications to support business change, including writing compelling content that is aligned to our tone of voice, creating best practice line manager briefing packs and event management support (e.g. briefings)
  • Actively contribute to the measurement and evaluation of Internal Communications activity, ensuring the campaigns delivered achieve their objectives with both value and impact
  • Work with the wider IC community to manage measurement reports for campaigns and channels on a regular basis to inform decision making and an understanding of audience preferences and trends
  • Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in development and delivery of internal communications campaigns in a large, complex organisation
  • Experience in change communications and campaign management (experience of Social Media Optimisation (SMO) desirable)
  • Excellent planning, copy-writing and grammar, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience of content creation for a variety of audiences and channels, including video and writing for online platform and a confident user of CMS platform
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent at communicating with and influencing all levels of colleagues and stakeholders and challenging the status-quo appropriately
  • Experience of briefing agencies and working with suppliers to obtain best value and outcome
  • Self-motivated, customer focused individual who embraces challenge and change
  • Resilient and demonstrate a determination to deliver, even when obstacles present themselves
  • Ideally degree educated or equivalent, with membership of a relevant professional body.
