Job Description

Client:Castlefield Recruitment are exclusively recruiting for an Interim Senior Commercial Manager to join a Public Sector organisation in Leeds. This will be for an initial 4 months with a potential of longer term or permanent opportunities.The organisation offers agile/flexible working arrangements as standard, but this post will involve remote working for the duration of the contract.This position would be ideally suited to someone with extensive PCR2015 experience, strong stakeholder engagement skills and a track record of managing and supporting a team within the Public Sector.Role:

  • The Senior Commercial Manager will support the Head of Commercial ensuring that the commercial function delivers an effective end to end procurement service to the organisation
  • Support the Head of Commercial in all commercial matters, making recommendations upon sound analysis of evidence and legal requirements and provide updates to the Head of Commercial on Standing Financial Instructions and Orders
  • Have accountability for the Procurement Transformation Plan, large scale procurement activities and help to implement procurement strategy
  • Analyse financial and contract activity information to recommend savings programmes to the Procurement Committee
  • Manage all procurement business returns including mandated procurement expenditure and contract reporting
Person
  • Previous public sector experience is essential
  • Able to act on own initiative and work autonomously
  • Staff management/mentoring experience is essential
  • Previous knowledge of contracting via CCS frameworks would be highly advantageous
