Job Description

Insurance Branch Manager The Insurance Branch Manager will be joining a successful team, established portfolio book of business and will be key in delivering the future growth objectives of the business and team performance.The role will provide high-quality support for Retail office development, processes, and systems functions to support all activities. Product exposure within Taxi, Courier and Commercial sectors.The key to success within the role will be attributed to strengthening and maintaining customer relationships, new business growth throughout our product line and understanding our customer needs.Role: Insurance Branch ManagerLocation: Leeds, Retail hubWorking Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pmSalary: £27,000 to £31,000 OTEYour leadership abilities will be applied to:

  • Business Development - generate new enquiries (B2C), profile retail offering and face to face customer function. Building both internal and external relationships.
- Sales of Acorn Insurance wide range of products- Grow the local market share and presence by understanding competitor landscape and our market appetite.- Working closely with our underwriters and senior management team to report performance, identify opportunities to improve profitability and to scope new business opportunities.
  • Customer Service - delivering key SLAs to achieve customer satisfaction and business expectations, quality checks and customer retention.
- Management of the customer journey lead cycle
  • People - Manage, develop, and lead your department to successfully deliver key objectives to new business sales, renewal retention and customer service.
- Support, train and upskill your team through coaching, regular one to ones, team meetings and SMART objectives.What you will be doing:
  • To proactively identify and seek future growth opportunities and needs of the business
  • Build relationships with key contacts to fully understand customer requirements
  • Develop further relationships and revenue streams with our existing customer base as well as identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Develop strong relationships with a wide variety of customers and clients, both internally and externally
  • Assist branch and team to proactively follow up quotations to existing, new and potential customers
  • Manage both customer expectations and the relationship with the customer during full term of policy cycle
  • Analysis of competitor risk, market positioning and proposal / analysis of alternative commercial offerings
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with management teams across the business network
  • Compliance/Audit coaching and feedback
  • General key holder responsibilities
What were looking for:
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills to support solid commercial decision making
  • Ability to present confidently and professionally to all levels including senior management team
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaboration, stakeholder management and resilience
  • Demonstrable ownership and attention to detail
  • Effective influencing & negotiations skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • High proficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experience of process improvement /strategic project delivery
  • Innovative thinker, able to respond quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Market / industry / regulatory knowledge
  • Proven people management and leadership
  • 2 years+ experience within a similar role and or industry
  • Clean driving licence, with own vehicle would be advantageous
