Job Description

Innovation Strategy and Delivery ManagerCompetitive salary from £60,172 with up to 15% bonusCompany car allowance up to £6,500 per annumBased in LeedsPermanent contract 40 hours per weekReporting to the Head of Strategic Planning, our Innovation Strategy & Delivery Manager will be responsible for the management of the Innovation team to deliver the GD2 Innovation programme as well as developing the GD3 Innovation Strategy. This management responsibility includes PMO of the innovation programme, innovation delivery andkey stream leads.As our Innovation Strategy & Delivery Manager you will lead our innovation team and work across the wider NGN business to embed innovation and drive customer service improvements and business efficiency. Your role will also be responsiblefor the development of the GD3 Business Planning Innovation Strategy and engagement and will also work towards the broader Strategic Planning and Innovation Team to support GD3 Business Planning, Annual Strategic Business Planning and Whole Systems Strategy.Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will includeAs Innovation Strategy and Delivery Manager you will be responsible for the overarching innovation business plan, ensuring alignment with other NGN strategies and commitments identified to deliver against innovation themes and ensuring all projects are evidencedwith a sound business case.The role will be accountable for being the lead business contact for innovation related discussions with a variety of regulatory and political stakeholders such as Ofgem, DESNZ, UKRI as well as measuring and driving value from specific innovation partnershipsand ensure benefits are identified, validated, and tracked to evidence the value of the Innovation programme.You will be responsible for ensuring that the NGN innovation portfolio is compliant with regulatory and NGN governance requirements as well as reviewing, updating of the compliance of the Innovation process on an ongoing basis.Other key accountabilities include•The management and delivery of industry conference events linked to regulatory compliance the development and presentation of Innovation project funding proposals to the relevant NGN approvals panels•Ensuring a wide range of innovation opportunities and problem statements are generated, ensuring registration and evaluation of ideas through the NGN innovation management process in compliance with Ofgem regulatory conditions and business requirements•NGN’s Strategic Innovation Fund programme of work, development of a robust policy and procedure to support effective engagement and management of the process, and identification of future potential challenge requirements, building partnerships, executionof project delivery and capturing of all required metricsWhat we are looking for•Degree qualified or with equivalent experience•NVQ level competence relating to gas network operations•Role model behaviours and leadership qualities•Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement•Experience in delivering energy network innovation schemes in line with relevant funding mechanisms•Excellent presentation and public speaking skillsWhat we offer you•A competitive salary from £60,172 per annum depending on experience•Up to 15% bonus with a company car allowance up to £6,500 per annum•40 hours per week, Monday to Friday•Free onsite parking at all our sites•25 days annual leave (plus recognised bank holidays and 2 half days over the Christmas period)SSP for the first 7 calendar days then occupational sick pay•A generous stakeholder 5/10 pension scheme•Flexible benefits and salary sacrifice options, from discounts on a variety of UK attractions, gym membership, restaurant discounts, experience days...and much more!•An array of fantastic family-friendly policies such as 6 weeks paternity leave (for eligible employees) and 6 months full pay for employees on maternity leave (for eligible employees), as well as shared parental leave and many more!We are ...
