Job Description

Job AdvertAsdas Cyber Security function are looking for a new experienced Cyber Security Lead to join our dedicated and expanding Cyber Security Operations function and work closely with our Infrastructure team.This opportunity will allow the successful candidate to join a once-in-a-career program helping transform Asda into the UKs leading technology retailer. Joining the fast-paced program will require focus and the agility to adapt in moving technology landscapes.Your Role

  • Extensive experience in providing security guidance, assurance, and technical consultancy on projects from initiation to completion
  • Demonstrate a customer service mindset to deliver high quality, results driven, business focused, security solutions
  • Innovate approaches to security to help ASDA be industry leaders in customer and business security
  • Good technical knowledge and experience across Microsoft platforms and technologies. (e.g. Azure, Office365, Windows 365, Defender)
  • Experience in Networks, Data Centre Systems, and cloud architecture (application, data and infrastructure)including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS security.
  • Knowledge of virtual and physical networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, IP, Encryption.
  • Experience of advising best practices around Infrastructure including but not limited to, PKIs, Endpoints, NSG, Firewalls, etc
  • Understanding of cryptography
  • Experience in advising best practices for securing resources within Azure and or other leading cloud platforms.
  • Ability to engage with a cross-section of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, at various levels of seniority, including director level.
  • An ability to make security recommendations in the context of wider business requirements such as efficiency, resilience and confidence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have a learning mindset and strive to constantly improve your security knowledge and expertise.
About You
  • Be the main point of contact and representative for the cyber security team within the Infrastructure Tower
  • Conducting analysis of and delivering consultancy on the security posture of our Infrastructure Tower, you will be involved in the scoping, planning, organising, execution and delivery or projects in this area, including post-project maintenance
  • Production and delivery of project documentation
  • Ensuring a shift-left approach across the organisation
  • Manage customer expectations and requirements across a broad technical security environment
  • Maintain our cloud-first journey to the highest security standards and recommended best practices
  • Chair meetings with relevant stakeholders
  • Make sure key security capabilities such as SIEM monitoring are embedded early in the project lifecycle
  • Working with the Security Architecture team to support and maintain functional and non-functional security requirements within the scope of the projects assigned
  • Collaboratively working with other cyber security disciplines and technical colleagues, such as the architecture team, to deliver a security viewpoint on Infrastructure projects that will inform the design while ensuring security requirements are met
  • Work closely with the data team to ensure all data is secured to the highest level
  • Collaboratively working with other security experts in the team (GRC, Threat Intelligence, SOC, Incident Response etc) to ensure that the projects assigned follow relevant governance requirements, risk management and onboarding
  • Help create new processes and policies that best aid the cyber security team meet the needs of our stakeholders
