Job Description

Im partnered with a leading business based in the North, that have been established for the last 50 years. This award winning company are expanding their tech team and looking for a Information Security Manager to join a tight knit team of 12.Client DetailsThey have a dedicated plan of action for the upcoming years, investing massively in their technology department to ensure they can build a strong security team. Based in Leeds, 4 days WFH/1 day onsite.DescriptionResponsibilities

  • Being able to manage of a team of 7 information security analysts
  • Liaising with teams and overseeing projects from a security perspective, ensuring that industry best practice and appropriate GRC controls are in place from conception to implementation across a variety of projects within the ongoing organisational transformation
  • Setting up, maintaining, and reviewing appropriate security controls and risk mitigation strategies
  • Liaising with internal and external senior stakeholders during information security incidents
  • Taking ownership of elements of the security strategy, suggesting improvements
  • Overseeing elements of ongoing change programme from a security perspective
  • Overseeing areas of security operations from a managerial perspective e.g. reviewing penetration test outputs and aligning analysts to action
ProfileEssential:
  • Certifications/Qualifications like (ISC)2, CIS/CISM, a degree in Information Security or similar
  • Understanding of the cyber killchain, MITRE ATT&CK or similar.
  • Experience of I.T. that demonstrates core competencies in an information security role and experience of cyber security, cyber essentials, and social engineering.
  • Experience developing and maintaining policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Experience with Information Security management frameworks, such as international standards of organisation ISO27001, PCI DSS and the IT infrastructure library (ITIL).
  • Practical experience of risk management methodology, tool sets and the risk management process solutions.
Desirable:.
  • Experience in information security incident management investigations.
  • Knowledge of General Data Protection regulations (GDPR)
  • Experience working with legal, compliance staff and audit, additionally, to carry out information security compliance reviews/audits.
  • UK government security clearance - if not currently cleared be willing to undertake security vetting
