Income Services Officer (Rent / Credit Control)Leeds £15,592.98 (£31,185.96 FTE plus essential car user allowance depending on emissions of vehicle) Hours: Part time - 18.75 hours per week Contract: Fixed Term Contract (Maternity)Our client is a registered social landlord managing approximately 4,300 properties across Leeds, Wakefield and North Yorkshire. They provide excellent terms and conditions and the opportunity for personal development.They are seeking a focused and self-motivated Income Services Officer to join their Income Services Team. The role involves supporting the financial wellbeing of tenants and maximising rental income through a creative approach to prevention and appropriateenforcement action.The Income Services Officer is responsible for operating the arrears policy, working proactively to prevent the escalation of arrears, dealing with current arrears cases up to and including possession action.The Income Services Officer provides advice and assistance to customers on areas relating to income recovery and liaises effectively with Neighbourhood Officers to ensure that communication with customers in relation to arrears and other debts is timelyand effective.Previous knowledge and experience of rental collection or credit control is essential along with working knowledge of welfare benefits.You will have excellent customer focus, and your strong personal organisation will allow you to work unsupervised when necessary. You will have experience of rent collection or credit control and in a customer facing role.Some knowledge of housing law as it applies to arrears action is an advantage but the willingness and ability to learn is more important. You will be required to represent the Association in court when necessary.
