Job Description

As an Import Merchandiser you will play a vital role within our Merchandising teams. You will provide essential support to your department and provide management support to the Merchandise Admin Assistant if applicable.Client DetailsA great opportunity for a Import Merchandiser - Apparel to join a leading fashion business in Leeds. The company are going from strength to strength and as a result of internal progression are seeking to add to their Merchandising team.The business has been around for more than 80 years and are known for their British Heritage.Description

  • Assist the Merchandiser to ensure all account strategies are executed in line with the departmental budget
  • Support the Merchandiser to communicate information effectively to all levels of the management team
  • Support the Merchandiser with WSSI and cashflow submissions and ensure it is executed in line with departmental deadlines and budgets.
  • Assist the Merchandiser in Trading meetings with essential business reporting and analysis
  • Assist in training and supporting the departmental MA where applicable.
  • Updating and maintaining the weekly sales and margin reports, identifying any anomalies, and highlighting these to the Merchandiser.
  • Manage the department critical path which includes chasing suppliers to adhere to deadlines. Assist and update to the wider team in the CP meeting.
  • Assist the Merchandiser with stock, sales, WSSI and cashflow.
  • Provide the finance team with weekly supplier payment overviews to ensure alignment with cashflow plan.
  • Provide the warehousing teams with weekly/monthly/quarterly intake updates to ensure an efficient flow of stock receipt and despatch.
  • Managing the OTB with the buying team to ensure forecasted OTB sales are achieved for each account.
  • Monitoring all stock intake and stock levels for the relevant brands/customer accounts and ensuring stock is processed in a timely manner and provide weekly updates to the customer accounts.
  • Ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time whether this is for Wholesale, Ecommerce or BTT.
  • Producing size-scales and raising; purchase orders (bulk and samples), barcodes and shipping labels (where appropriate).
  • Maintenance of the buying minutes and other stock management system functions including activating products, entering price lists, entering production, amending quantities and delivery dates when required.
  • Assisting the Merchandiser in seasonal planning and providing forecasts to the buyers/suppliers.
  • Liaise with the logistics and shipping teams to ensure intake is delivered on time and in line with the critical path.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure products are despatched to the agreed ex-factory date.
  • Liaise with the sales team and customers to ensure that they are fully updated on all deliveries and answer any relevant queries.
  • Attend key internal and supplier meetings alongside the Merchandiser. Complete all meeting minutes for the Merchandiser.
