We support organisations across a wide variety of sectors including finance, retail, telecommunications,utilities, gaming, government and insurance.The HR Advisor is the first point of contact for our internal customers to the Business Partnering team and is responsible for providing generalist HR knowledge and expertise to provide high quality HR operational support to line managers across the Europeanregion. A key part of the HR Advisors role will be to understand, collate and ensure the accuracy of HR related Management Information, used to demonstrate HR performance and inform operational and strategic business decisions.The role will provide the opportunity to develop greater breadth and depth of HR expertise and business knowledge balanced with, a flexible proactive approach and a keen interest in all aspects of HR.Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service by building strong, effective, proactive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Providing trusted advice to managers on a full range of people related queries and issues across European region, identifying and escalating risks or concerns where required.
  • Providing advice, guidance and support to people managers with employee relations cases, including performance, capability, absence, disciplinaries and grievances, prioritising workload and escalating complex cases to HR Business Partners where appropriate.
  • Ownership of relationship with third party Occupational Health Providers, managing referrals and supporting subsequent action planning with managers as appropriate.
  • Educating and coaching front line managers to perform their people related responsibilities more effectively e.g., absence management, providing feedback and performance management through appropriate means - guides, training, documentation.
  • Work in close partnership with People Services Team, provide coaching and guidance to members of the team and identifying process and best practice improvements where necessary.
  • Supports HRBPs where appropriate with delivery of organisational restructures, integration activity, TUPE transfers etc.
  • Proactive involvement in any initiatives or activities across all HR areas including diversity and inclusion initiatives, engagement activities, wellbeing approach etc.
  • Providing the HR Management and Leadership teams with operational or project support as required across all areas of HR.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to ensuring the timely and accurate collation and provision of key HR metrics
  • Work in partnership with other members of HR Team to support cyclical activities including performance review activity, salary and bonus review etc.
  • Ensuring the protection of data in line with GDPR regulations.
  • Prioritising tasks to ensure that service levels and customer expectations are met.
  • Proactively contributes to the continuous improvement of the services provided by the department, processes, policies and systems. Presents opportunities to key stakeholders and follow through to fruition any improvements to BAU.
  • Input into review of all HR policies to ensure fit for purpose and meet legal and regulatory requirements
  • Keeps abreast of legislative and regulatory changes, adapting processes and documentation appropriately.
  • Research best practice amongst competitors and other businesses to continually improve our colleague offering.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Core HR and employment law knowledge with ability to research and identify solutions / ways forward in countries outside of own specific knowledge;
  • Experience working in multi-site / European team;
  • Strong focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written);
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships;
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and flexibility to meet changing priorities;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Proactive and energetic approach to work;
  • MS office skills including PowerPoint, Word and Excel with the latter having at least intermediate knowledge;
  • A positive outlook when faced with obstacles;
  • Comfortable working with and challenging stakeholders of all levels;
